Diabetes is a condition in which the body has high blood sugar levels. Because the body cannot use the sugar in the blood that is obtained from eating food to use normally. This may be caused by the pancreas reducing production of the hormone insulin, which helps body cells burn sugar. It may be caused by the body’s cells being resistant to the hormone insulin.

75 = Normal (70-100 mg/dl)

110 = Risk (100-125 mg/dl)

127 = Diabetes (126+ mg/dl)
